Wisconsin could have its lowest traffic death toll in three years, if a current trend continues.

As of Nov. 18, there have been 518 highway deaths in 2018. There were 533 total in 2017.

Since 1990, the most traffic fatalities in Wisconsin came in 2003 with 836 killed in crashes. The least amount was 2014 with 494 killed.

La Crosse County reported seven traffic deaths this year matching the county average for the past five years but it’s a drop from 12 deaths last year.
