An 18-year-old La Crosse man who was given probation this fall in a gang rape case is back in jail again on new charges.

The La Crosse County jail roster shows that Ronald Crosby Junior was booked on Wednesday.

Crosby’s new charges include car theft, robbery with use of force, and battery.

He’s not expected in court until Monday.

Crosby was charged last year with being a party to an alleged gang rape of teenage girls at a La Crosse garage.

Last month, Crosby reached a plea agreement on lesser charges in the case and was placed on probation for two years.

Prosecutors now believe he was at the garage for a time, but left before the rapes occurred.
