Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. Today is a day for giving thanks, something that I don’t do often enough. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for being able to live in this great country, where we still enjoy many freedoms, even if we don’t always agree politically. I am thankful for the protections of our First Amendment, which allow people like me to report facts and to espouse views. I am thankful for those who work so diligently to keep us safe, from members of the military to police and first responders who willingly tackle the most difficult jobs. I am thankful for the many volunteers who give of their time to make our community such a wonderful place to live, like those putting on today’s free Thanksgiving meal at the La Crosse Center. I am thankful for my co-workers who do their best to put out the best product possible on a daily basis. I am thankful to the many WIZM listeners, who tune in each day to hear the latest news, or to enjoy their favorite talk show. To all of you…family, friends, community members, and listeners, thank you. It probably shouldn’t take a special day to pause to remember all that we have thanks for. May you enjoy a wonderful day with your families and friends. Happy Thanksgiving, from all of us at WIZM.
