Hunter dies in La Crosse County after medical emergency

A 57-year-old hunter who suffered a medical emergency died over the weekend.

The incident was reported to 911 at 6:23 a.m. Saturday in the Town of Hamilton.

Bryan Antony alerted a hunting partner that he was in distress. Antony was able to dial 911 but became unresponsive during the call.

His partner reached him and began CPR. Several agencies responded to the scene but, the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office said, because of the remote area, reaching the men was only accessible by foot.

First-responders did extra life-saving efforts but were unable to revive Antony.
