A possible 25 years in prison awaits repeat drug offender Aric Elmore, following his latest arrest in La Crosse County.

A new criminal complaint charges the 44-year-old Elmore with conspiring to deliver between 3 and 10 grams of heroin.

Investigators arranged drug buys at Elmore’s house on State Street three times in a two-week period.

Two other suspects, Homer Taylor and April Brezinski, also are facing charges.

A lawyer has to be appointed for Elmore, because of conflicts of interest with the other defendants.

Police criticized a La Crosse judge for placing Elmore on probation two months ago, instead of sending him to prison in another drug case.

Elmore remains in the county jail, under a $50,000 cash bond.
