La Crosse School District finalizes tax levy

There will be a slight tax decrease for residents in the La Crosse School District this year.

The board approved the tax levy for 2018-19 at its meeting this week.

There was be a 3 percent drop in state aid but property values rose in that time frame.

The new bill will be $9.11 per $1,000 of property value — a decrease of 2.6 percent from last year.
