Committee agrees to postpone vote on La Crosse wheel tax “indefinitely”

Worried about that wheel tax in La Crosse? Probably no need to be.

La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat’s proposed $25-per-vehicle wheel tax has the city council anything but receptive.

A council committee Tuesday night agreed to postpone the wheel tax idea — indefinitely.

That essentially kills the proposal through procedure. The full city council will vote on the issue next week.
