Onalaska woman charged with 5th OWI

The multiple cans of beer in the car was one indication. The repeated stopping on Copeland Avenue may have been another.

Margaret Bachop was arrested Tuesday afternoon for her fifth OWI.

When police did get the 50-year-old Onalaska woman to pull over, she didn’t obey requests to get out of the car.

Bachop reportedly told an officer ,”Just shoot me in the head,” and said she needed to go to detox, apparently knowing the routine.

Bachop has four previous OWI convictions, dating as far back as 1991, and could get 26 years in prison if she’s convicted on all counts.
