A shots fired call on Sunday morning on the north side of La Crosse led police to break down a door and make an arrest.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Caledonia Street by a woman who said she heard gunshots around 8 a.m.

A woman was seen holding a gun in the alley and a man brought her into an apartment.

Officers said they heard yelling so they kicked in the door.

Angela Klem of Belvidere, Ill., was inside along with her boyfriend. The 35-year-old Klem said injuries on her boyfriend were from rough sex.

The man stated he had to wrestle the gun away from her.

Police say both were uncooperative.

Klem is charged with battery, recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct.
