The 24-year-old man accused of shooting two other men in downtown La Crosse early Sunday will be back in court Wednesday.

That’s when Isaiah Stinson, Jr., will be charged with reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.

Prosecutor Jessica Skemp said Stenson was identified quickly by security video after the shooting at 3rd and Main.

“This incident was captured on video surveillance, he’s clearly identified as a person who fired a gun and ended up striking two individuals,” she told the court Monday.

The two men shot were treated for minor injuries. Stenson is being ordered to stay away from them and to have no weapons.

Judge Ramona Gonzalez set Stenson’s bond at $10,000. Defense attorney Thomas Rhodes said Stenson doesn’t have much money and he has four young children to support.

“He would be unable to post anything like the $10,000 requested cash bond,” Rhodes said.

Skemp asked for the high cash bond, because Stenson hasn’t been in La Crosse very long and could flee.

“He informed police that he had only been in La Crosse for about two weeks,” she said, adding he is from Toledo, Ohio.
