Hoffman Construction Company in Black River Falls, Wis., will tackle excavation, storm water management and erosion control on the Racine County project.

Hoffman is one of 27 contractors announced as those that will prepare the Foxconn site for construction.

Just that initial prep project will apparently be worth an estimated $100 million.

Info from the governor’s office says, at its peak, the project will involve “150 pieces of heavy earth moving equipment … moving more than 1 million cubic yards of earth per month.”

Once fully operational Foxconn is expected to employ 13,000 directly and generate more than $100 million annually in state tax revenue.

Wisconsin companies selected include Kapur Associates, Gestra Engineering and Heider & Bott Company. R A Seaton Contractor Services LLC is from Rockford, Illinois.
