Realtors are calling it “extremely strong demand” for homes in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association, in a report released Monday, said that high demand continues to drive a very hot market for home buyers in the state.
The group says the three month period from December through February showed the highest number of home sales on record for the same period.
La Crosse is among the areas that’s surging with sales up 14.8 percent for the year and nearly 29.6 percent for February over the same month last year.
The group cites low statewide unemployment and low interest rates continuing to fuel home sales — historically good.
Home sales statewide are up 4.7 percent year to date.
