The unemployment rate in La Crosse is on the way down.
November rates released by the Dept. of Workforce Development on Wednesday show La Crosse’s rate at 2.5 percent, down from 3.4 in November 2016.
The city added a total of 1,200 jobs in that time frame.
The county’s unemployment rate also went down .9 percent to 2.3. That was good for fifth best in the state.
The Department of Workforce Development says that unemployment claims are at their lowest level in over 30 years.
