Students with children attending Western Technical College could be in for some financial support.

The money wouldn’t be for school, however. The $268,680 grant would help those students cover childcare costs.

The money comes from the Dept. of Education and helps students who have classes during the day. The $268,680 is split up over four years.

Western has partnered with the YWCA Child Center for care from 6AM-6PM. They are currently filled up so call the YWCA to get on a waiting list.

Full- or part-time care is provided for children ages 6 weeks to 11 years old. Click here for more info.

The YWCA is located on Western’s La Crosse campus on 9th St. It is currently filled so get on the waiting list here
