Bangor wins 2nd state football title in 3 years

Cardinals dominate Black Hawk, 37-14

It’s two state championships in three years for the Bangor High School football team. 

The third-ranked Cardinals capped off another undefeated season with a 37-14 win over fifth-ranked and previously undefeated Black Hawl.

Bangor (14-0), which went unbeaten in winning state in 2015, scored 16 points in the first quarter and added to that lead throughout the Division 7 championship at Camp Randall. 

Bangor will return home tonight for a 7 p.m. rally at the high school.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
