Democratic challengers to Gov. Walker holding forum in downtown La Crosse tonight

Gov. Walker is campaigning in Onalaska at 8:40 a.m. Monday

While Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stops in Onalaska at 8:40 a.m. Monday morning for a campaign rally, the Democrats will hold one of their own tonight.

A forum from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Brickhouse in downtown La Crosse could feature eight Democratic candidates or representatives of those running for governor in Wisconsin.

So far, over 60 say they’re going to attend according to the Facebook events page.

Wine thinks there might be too many in the running, as 10 have signed up. On the other hand, Wine says he appreciates the interest and thinks it’s “a sign that Walker’s considered weak.”

Tonight’s forum is by a group called Our Wisconsin Revolution. The group says it supports candidates for office who align with Senator Bernie Sanders’ vision.

The group vows to “take all levels of Wisconsin government back from elites.”
