Papers filed to recall Onalaska school board member Jake Speed

Process needs 1,743 signatures to force election. 

Jake Speed back at an April meeting after he was censured by fellow Onalaska School Board members for outbursts and what the district called “abusive behavior toward staff”.

It’s been relatively quiet since an April meeting outburst from Jake Speed at the rest of the Onalaska school board.

The district called the board member Speed’s actions, “abusive behavior toward staff.”

Since, a website designed to kick Speed out of office was created and it has now gone to the next step.

Papers have been filed to begin the recall process. It needs 1,743 signatures in 60 days to have an election, which would include Speed.

Born in Decorah Iowa. I've been a news reporter for the last 10 years, starting right out of college in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
