Poage only rink that offers rentals

The first of three ice skating rinks in La Crosse should ready to go now.

Parks and rec. staff flooded the park on Wednesday. Next up, Poage Park and Riverside Park.

It’s the first year with an ice rink at Riverside under the Rotary Lights.

Pat Stephens, the Rotary Lights president, said they will be flooding the rink Sunday and it should be ready by Wednesday.

Poage Park’s rink should be ready by that time, as well. That’s the only rink that offers skate rental, which are free.

HOURS
Poage Park: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on M-F; Noon-8 p.m. on Sat.-Sun. (rentals free)
Copeland Park: No staff, open skate. Park rec. staff ask to come in afternoon
Riverside Park: TBA
