Kapanke and Shilling set for
rematch of recall election

Dan Kapanke and Jennifer Shilling are set for a rematch of the 2011 Wisconsin Senate recall election.

The two won their primaries Tuesday to get on the November ballot, as did Democratic Congressman Ron Kind.

Back in 2011, the Rep. Kapanake and Dem. Shilling were pitted against each other in the recall election. Shilling ousted Kapanke in the battle over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s policies toward unions.

Kind’s win over Myron Buchholz in the Third District virtually assures the incumbent of an 11th term in the House of Representatives, as there is no Republican opponent.

Shilling defeated Jared Landry, and former Sen. Kapanke outdistanced John Sarnowski.
