Man pleads not guilty to violent rape in La Crosse

Woman only wanted to charge her cellphone
He pleaded not guilty to an alleged violent rape in La Crosse on Friday.
The 39-year-old La Crosse native, Thomas, is accused of forcing a woman to have sex for more than an hour in his apartment.
They apparently met at the Salvation Army. The woman came to Thomas’ apartment to charge her phone. Thomas repeatedly forced her to have sex that afternoon and it was only stopped because a roommate began knocking on the apartment door.
Thomas threatened to shoot the woman if she said anything.
“The words that were used that if she said anything he would killer her,” La Crosse police officer Frank Racich told a judge in court Friday. “And what she had said was (he told her), ‘I would double-barrel you.'”
