Judge denies Williams release from jail

La Crosse police saw Albert Williams III’s videos on Facebook. With drugs. A gun.

All things that violated his probation and police are quite familiar with Williams, so they arrested him Tuesday evening.

In court Thursday, Williams’ attorney asked for his release from jail. Judge Todd Bjerke said no.

“He’s out on bond,” Bjerke explained in court, “again possessing a firearm and ammunition for a multitude of firearms. A firearm that’s actually stolen. It’s those bond violations, I don’t see that he’s compliant one bit.”

If Williams, who police knew as Goddi, wants out of jail, bond is set at $50,000. He faces six new charges – added to four counts from earlier this year – that could bring more than 20 years in prison.

Here is the highlight (lowlight) from Williams’ Facebook, which videos are still up. Police used a real estate website to figure out where he was posting from (1128 4th St. South).

Williams was busted with four others downtown in February, after an informant gave police info about his drug dealing.

The police emergency response team hit the downtown apartment and found a heroin dealing operation with guns, drugs and thousands in cash.

Even then, Williams’ had a rap sheet of nearly 20 convictions going back to 2000, from disorderly conduct to sexual assault, along with several drug dealing counts all over Wisconsin (La Crosse, Outagamie and Milwaukee counties).
