Trump throws just one out during speech at La Crosse Center

Republican nominee crashed La Crosse this morning

He predicted the race would be over if he won. He demanded John Kasich drop out of the race. And, Donald Trump said at the La Crosse Center this morning, if he loses, it was a “total waste of time.”

About 1,500 packed the North Hall to hear the Republican presidential candidate speak. Some were turned away. And, at least, one was kicked out for speaking out during the speech.

“We’re talking about … get him out,” Trump said as someone started to protest. “Here we have our standard, ‘stand up and shout for a couple seconds.’ Get him out please (boos from crowd).”

Around 15-20 staged a protest outside the rally, one wearing a Guy Fawkes mask (below), holding a sign that said, “Keep your hate out of my state.” Some trying to get into the rally were turned away, staff said, as the hall only holds 1,500.

Wisconsin’s primary is Tuesday. Polls are open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Along with the presidential race, there are also numerous local and state elections to vote on. For more information, go to MyVote.WI.gov. That site will help you find out your voting location, who’s on the ballot, whether you’re registered and where those candidates stand on certain issues.

Trump fired up the crowd at one point, predicting Wisconsin could end the race against Kasich and Ted Cruz.

“If we do well here, folks, it’s over,” Trump said as the crowd roared. “If we don’t, it’s not over. But wouldn’t you like to take the credit, in Wisconsin, for ending it? Give Wisconsin the credit for ending it?”

Trump made several references to his main rival, Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted.” He also claimed that he’ll beat Dem. Hillary Clinton ‘so easy’ in November.

He also talked about losing the Republican nomination, and made an odd analogy about a choking dog when it came to the 2012 presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

“If I lose, what I’ve done, to me, it was a total waste of time,” Trump said. “I really mean it. Total waste of time.

“If I win, we can make the change. If you lose, like Romney had a great chance to win. He should have won. He choked like a dog.”

Trump is the finale of four presidential candidates to visit the area in the last eight eight days. Bernie Sanders drew over 3,300 at a rally in Onalaska, Wis. Hillary Clinton saw a crowd of 300 at Western Technical College. And 200 came to see Kasich in West Salem. Cruz did not make an appearance.

Trump has spoken throughout the campaign about how he has defeated other candidates. He quoted one political writer as saying, “The Trump campaign has affected America, even if he loses.”

Aside from criticizing other candidates, Trump also slammed the media for being ‘dishonest,’ but singled out John Roberts of Fox News for praise. The reporter was, of course, at the rally.

Coming to La Crosse a day before the Wisconsin primary, Trump called Obama clueless and said the rest of the world thinks Americans are “a bunch of babies.”

He promised to make America, not great again, but “rich again,” so “we can help other countries that need assistance.”
