Bus with 30 students slides off road, tips on side

Several taken to hospital

NEW LISBON, Wis. – Several students were taken to a hospital this morning when a New Lisbon school bus slid off of a road and turned on its side.

Thirty students were on the bus at the time of the accident. Most of the injuries were bumps and bruises, although seven students were taken to a Mauston hospital for further evaluation.

Police are investigating the incident.

Parents were notified and students not requiring immediate medical attention were brought to the school and evaluated by the nurse and EMTs. They were then released.
