Winona murder suspects appear in court for first time

Seven people have been charged
in relation to murder of Adam Fort

The two men accused of killing Adam Fort of Winona appeared in court for the first time since being charged by a grand jury.

Lonnie Hudson of La Crosse and Reginald Burnett of Altoona, Wis., both are accused of first-degree and second-degree murder for the October shooting of Fort.

They’re suspected of shooting the victim while going to his apartment to buy drugs, and of stealing money and property from Fort after he was shot.

Hudson and Burnett are scheduled to be charged formally Monday. Seven persons in all have been charged by the grand jury with committing crimes related to the murder.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
