Faces 15 charges involved with a 2014 crash

A Black River Falls man, who had faced 15 charges in a drunken accident, has plead guilty to a fifth drunk-driving charge in a crash that involved several cars and the death of Good Samaritan.

Cops say Brandon Rave was drunk when he pulled out to pass several cars on a Jackson County highway.

Witnesses said that in the summer of 2014, Rave was estimated to be driving 100 mph when he sideswiped a car and hit a boat and trailer being towed by an SUV. Rave’s car burst into flames. A Good Samaritan stopped to help put out the fire, then collapsed and later died.

Rave will be sentenced on February 2.
