Over 140 pies were cooked by eighth graders

The aroma of pumpkin pies baking have filled the halls of Logan Middle School.

Eighth graders are in the midst of baking over 140 pies for the La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

Logan Middle School students have been baking pies for the dinner for over 25 years. The ingredients and supplies are donated by staff and students’ families, in addition to a generous donation from the La Crosse Public Education Foundation’s Random Acts of Kindness fund.

Once the pies have baked and cooled, volunteers from the La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner will pick them up and take them to the La Crosse Center.
