Holmen fire chief suspended

Multiple firefighters spoke out against chief

On Sunday, the Holmen area fire board has decided to suspend its chief.

In September, multiple firefighters spoke out against the chief saying if something didn’t change, they would resign.

Chief Doug Schober was suspended with pay indefinitely, pending an investigation. William Ebner with the board said the two assistant fire chiefs, Wes Linberg and Bill Bulawa, will be in charge for now.

The next board meeting won’t be until December 3.
