A 54-year-old man pleads guilty to charges of going after a La Crosse policeman with a knife.

When a city cop tried to arrest Randy Burzinski on a warrant last January, Burzinski swung at the officer with a four-inch knife.

He missed the officer and ended up cutting himself.

Burzinski claimed he deliberately cut himself in the leg, so he wouldn’t have to go to prison.

Court records show that Burzinski has spent about 20 years in prison for various crimes.
