Bradley heads to high court from more experienced, less traveled road

Gov. Walker has appointed Bradley at every level in court system

The newest judge to head to the Supreme Court has taken a very experienced, but less traveled road there.

Many justices who have served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court previously had been circuit judges or judges at the appeals level, but not both. Newest Justice Rebecca Bradley, however, has done just that.

Chief Justice Pat Roggensack says Bradley’s experience at the two lower levels of court will be an asset.  

Bradley has attained all three levels in the state court system in just three years, being appointed each time by Gov. Scott Walker.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
