Quiet Oktoberfest for police, but there were some stories

Dept. hands out lots of underage fines

A quiet Oktoberfest as far a serious crimes go, but that doesn’t mean the La Crosse Police Department wasn’t busy.

As of this morning, the department had over 120 underage drinking fines and 22 more for public urination. Those numbers will rise, however, as more tickets are still being processed.

There were also a couple stories from police, too. Like the guy walking along the top ledge of the La Crosse Center parking ramp or the couples hooking up in the porta-potty, of all places. Beyond that, just a typical Oktoberfest of broken car windows and stolen bikes.
