Wood and Worra, who went on different paths, now inducted into Onalaska H.S. HOF

One’s a judge, the other an opera singer

One is a state Supreme Court justice, the other is a Grammy-nominated opera singer, and both are Onalaska High School graduates.

The two women have gone a long way in their professions since graduating 30 years ago. They were back this weekend to be inducted into the high school’s hall of fame. 

Justice Rhonda Wood (Sissel back in high school) of the Arkansas Supreme Court, says the debate team and other activities in high school gave her a good background for a law career, and becoming a judge.

The other honoree, Dr. Caroline Worra, says opportunities in music and sports at Onalaska helped her prepare for other types of work.  

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
