City ranks third of top metros in state
The La Crosse metro area has now dropped below four percent unemployment.
New numbers from Madison this week shows the La Crosse area among the lowest once again for unemployment rates, at 3.4 percent.
That puts the area just behind Madison (2.8%) and Sheboygan (3.15) among the dozen largest metros in the state.
Unemployment dropped in all twelve of the state’s largest metro areas from July to August and over August numbers posted last year.
The state unemployment rate for August was measured at 4.5 percent.
