UPDATE: Two dead in crash Saturday

Truck crossed center line, caused two other vehicles to collide

Two people are dead following an accident in Trempealeau, Wis., on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities have now released those names: 56-year-old James Harnish of Trempealeau and 36-year-old Jonathan Helgeson of Prairie Du Chien, Wis.

Around 3 p.m., Harnish, in a pickup truck, crossed the center line on Highway 35 and struck a west bound SUV driven by 20-year-old Allison Nolan of Hastings, Minn.

The SUV then lost control and rolled over into the westbound ditch, striking Helgeson’s car.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Nolan was airlifted to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
