Republican pres. candidate is third in latest poll, Trump leads

After leading the GOP presidential field in Iowa for months, Governor Scott Walker is no longer on top in the latest poll. 

Should he let that bother him?

UW-L Political Professor, Joe Heim, says yes. Walker is seen as the “Governor Next Door,” and he used to live in Iowa for a while, so he should be on top.

In a survey released last week by CNN, Donald Trump leads the Republicans in Iowa (22 percent), followed by Ben Carson (14%) and Walker (9%).

Trump also leads Walker in two other Iowa surveys taken since the GOP debate in Cleveland earlier this month. Walker led the GOP field in almost all the Iowa polling from February through July.
