Jane Doe information expected to be released today

We’re expecting more information from Vernon County today, about possible new leads in a ‘Jane Doe’ murder investigation from the 1980’s.  An unidentified woman was murdered in May of 1984, and her body was discovered along a road in Vernon County.  Her hands had been cut off, presumably to prevent police from identifying her through fingerprints.  This week, the woman’s body was removed from a cemetery, so the state crime lab could use DNA testing to help determine her identity.

 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
