More money from ramps than expected

Drivers parking in the downtown La Crosse ramps are giving much more money to the city than expected. The revenue collected through the pay stations in the ramps is already two-thirds of the way to this year’s goal, only halfway through 2015. Through the end of June, 72-thousand dollars was collected in parking fees at the ramp gates. That’s compared to the 108-thousand dollars predicted in the city budget. Over a million dollars has been generated this year through parking fees and tickets…also well ahead of expectations.
