Worst Case: Losey the Detour

They’re hoping they won’t need to use a detour. But just in case I-90 gets closed down between La Crosse and West Salem next spring or summer, Losey Boulevard in La Crosse will be used as a detour for Highway 16. The city board of public works approved the detour request today. The highway will be closed in the Nathan Hill area for a few weeks next year, so work crews can make cuts in the hill. The proposed detour would run from Sparta to Westby and then back through La Crosse on Losey.
