County Jobless Rate Ticks Higher

Just one county in Wisconsin now with double digit unemployment rates.  That’s the latest breakdown from the state’s labor department.  Menominee county is the one county recording a jobless rate over 10 percent for May.  Far cry from La Crosse county’s unemployment rate of four percent for May, which is higher than last month’s 3.4 percent.  Despite the April to May dip, the state says all counties had lower unemployment rates last month than May of last year.
