New Speed Limit Signs Posted

Road crews in this area didn’t take too long to post the new 70 mile an hour speed limit signs on I-90. We’re told that the higher limit was already posted by about 9 o’clock this morning between La Crosse and Tomah, and the increased limit was in effect as soon as the signs went up. By the end of the week, it will be legal to drive 70 on about 800 miles of interstate in Wisconsin. That leaves Oregon as the only state between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Michigan with an interstate speed limit lower than 70.
