Town Chair Doubts Deal on Subdivision Can Get Done

The future of a high-end Shelby subdivision hangs in the balance. You got Shelby, the county, the school district and developers all pushing forward on the plan for Willow Heights, the former Irish Hills golf course. And then the city of La Crosse. With a mayor thinking he can work out a deal by Thursday’s city council meeting to share tax revenue from the development. And without that deal, the council might not approve the subdivision plans

 

 

 

 

 

Shelby town chair Tim Candahl is frustrated with the city and expresses his doubts that any deal will get done. La Crosse has some jurisdiction over the planned neighborhood because it lies within three miles of city limits.
