Baldwin Hopeful VA Changes Will Lead to Improvements

Wisconsin’s Democratic Senator says lawmakers are working on ways to avoid a repeat of the prescription drug scandal seen at the Tomah VA Medical Center. Tammy Baldwin says bills being discussed in Washington should help prevent abuses throughout the veterans’ health care system:

 

Baldwin is still working to hold people at Tomah accountable for the overuse of opioid medicines among vets at the hospital. She has been criticized for failing to investigate fast enough after hearing accusations of abuse at the local facility.
