Walker Says GOP Fully In Control Of Wisconsin

Many people visiting La Crosse over the weekend were hoping that Scott Walker would launch a presidential campaign here, at the state Republican convention.  They may be disappointed that the governor didn’t do that, although Walker and other GOP leaders predicted that 2016 will be the year that Wisconsin breaks its string of voting Democratic in the presidential election.  During a speect at the convention on Saturday, Walker reminded delegates that recent policy changes in Wisconsin happened because the GOP is fully in charge of state government:

Walker also urged party members to make sure Senator Ron Johnson gets re-elected next year.  Political watchers think former Senator Russ Feingold could help swing the Senate back to a Democratic majority if he wins a rematch with Johnson.
