Tractor Weight Rules Widens

There might be a misunderstanding about a relatively new law in Wisconsin that regulates the weight of equipment that farmers can have on the roads.  That’s the feeling of Rob Richard from the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, which generally supports the law’s provisions allowing for greater tractor weights.  Sorely needed with modern equipment sizes

While the equipment weight law was passed last year, cops were only able to fine farmers at the middle of last month.  Those fines can be as much as eight thousand dollars.  One sheriff has refused to enforce the law, calling it unconstitutional.
