Did You Wake Up Drunk?

Drinking late at night, going to bed and still being drunk in the morning might be more typical than you would think.  That was a contributing factor in the traffic death of Jason Songer last July, crushed and killed by a dump truck, driven by a still buzzed Francis Rychtik.  And could be the reality for many people on the road this morning, says La Crosse police officer Lisa Barrix

Rychtik pleaded guilty this week in Songer’s death and awaits sentencing.  Besides still having plenty of booze in his system from the night before, he was also checking facebook on his phone right before the fiery crash.
