Tree Planting Slow Down
A tree-planting project in La Crosse could be slowed down:
Steve Carlyon poses that question to the La Crosse City Plan Commission, as it endorses a ‘transportation vision’ that could lead to street changes. Carlyon, the park and rec director, notes that more than 100 ash trees were cut down last month along Losey Boulevard, and crews are ready to plant new trees in their place. He doesn’t want newer trees uprooted after a few years, if the city decides it wants to widen Losey or make other traffic improvements.
