Sheriff Fights For Farmers

Six thousand dollar traffic ticket?   For a farmer, that’s some pretty significant dough.   But that’s what one farmer collected in Clark county recently for driving his overweight tractor on the road.  A state trooper wrote the ticket.  Got Clark county sheriff Greg Herrick on the warpath against a new law that addresses heavy farm equipment on roads.   And he’s not afraid to say he won’t enforce the law

Backers of the new law says it gives farmers the ability to get a legal permit to exceed weight limits.  Herrick says it’s still unconstitutional.
