Here Comes Another Segway Vote

A La Crosse city council committee could nearly put to bed the argument about whether Segway scooters should be allowed on downtown sidewalks.  The committee is close to the last stop for the proposal to ban the two wheelers on the sidewalks.  An idea that began circulating shortly after a Segway tours business started downtown.  Council member Ryan Cornett believes it’s a new “open for business” mentality in city hall that will mean the ban will get voted down

The same committee will also consider limits on which city trails the Segways may travel.
