Driver Convicted Of OWI Crash That Killed La Crescent Man

Truck driver Francis Rychtik (RICK-tik) will be sentenced this summer for causing a fatal crash on I-90.  Rychtik pleads ‘no contest’ to charges of homicide and injury by drunk driving.  His truck collided with a car on the interstate last July, and both vehicles caught fire.  The car driver, Jason Songer of La Crescent, was killed.  Other charges filed against Rychtik were dismissed under a plea agreement.
