Clements Congratulates Out Of Staters For High Numbers

La Crosse County ranks number 12 out of 72 counties in the state when it comes to tourism. That released by Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett Friday. Klett also said that her department also went away from traditional forms of getting the work out and are using commercials as a driving force to get people into the state to visit and spend money.

Dave Clements with the local tourism bureau says he has done some of the same.

The county saw a 4.4% increase in 2014 in tourism……a number Clements would like to see continually rise. For the first time in four years, every county in Wisconsin reported an increase in visitor spending in 2014.
