Kind Calls For Bird Flu Action
Congressman Ron Kind has sent a letter to United States Department of
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack requesting he detail the agency’s response to the Wisconsin Avian Influenza outbreak.
As of Friday, H5N2 was confirmed in four outbreaks and suspected in two others….impacting four counties in Wisconsin and 12 states nationwide. Governor Scott Walker declared a statewide emergency and has summoned the National Guard to clean up affected areas.
